MSA (Mutualité sociale agricole)

The MSA (Mutualité sociale agricole) provides social security coverage for the entire agricultural population and their dependents: farmers, employees (of farms, companies, cooperatives, and professional agricultural organizations), and employers of agricultural labor. With 26.9 billion in benefits paid to 5.2 million recipients, it is the second-largest social protection system in France.
As part of its public service mission in social protection, the MSA has, for over thirty years, been developing a range of services through more than 400 associations offering benefits open to everyone. From personal services (telecare, home care, meal delivery, childcare, etc.) to those offered to businesses—including vocational training, social engineering, and integration through economic activity—the range of services is rooted in the social and solidarity economy and provides solutions to social needs that are often poorly addressed throughout the country.
