Entreprises : choose social investments

If you share the values of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and believe that socially committed entrepreneurs can transform society, your company can become a shareholder in France Active Investissement (FAI). This is a way to enhance the social impact of your cash reserves while limiting financial risks.

FAI is one of France Active’s two financial companies. It collects solidarity-based savings to invest in social economy projects with a strong social, regional, or environmental impact. FAI is the leading solidarity-based investment company in France

33 million euros invested by FAI in solidarity-based enterprises by 2025.

Its status as a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with variable capital gives it the flexibility to allow you to become a shareholder at any time. Two categories of shares are available to companies.

Class A Shares

  • These shares are reserved for those who wish to contribute, beyond their capital contribution, to the fulfillment of FAI’s social purpose. They involve shareholders in the company’s governance: only Class A shareholders may serve as administrators. Together, they hold 90% of the voting rights.
  • They are transferable but non-redeemable.

Class B shares

  • They may be held by legal entities, individuals, and management companies on behalf of the solidarity savings funds for which they are responsible. Class B shareholders collectively hold 10% of the voting rights.
  • They are subscribed for a minimum term of 5 years.
  • They are redeemable upon maturity on request (and a liquidity clause exists specifically for Corporate Mutual Funds (FCP(E)) invested in the capital that exceed the regulatory ratio).
  • Class A and B shares are subject to an annual revaluation.

Employee savings can make an impact, too!

Did you know that your employees can allocate a portion of their employee savings to impact projects? France Active is among the first organizations to have established 90/10 solidarity funds: 10% of the invested savings is directed toward financing socially committed entrepreneurs. By offering this program to your employees, you’re giving them the opportunity to take concrete action toward a more equitable economy.
